Job Summary
Minimum
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Reliable transport / own car
- Suitable tertiary qualification
- More than 2 years experience in a similar role
- Able to work shifts and overtime
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Check machinery readings and send to your manager on a weekly basis
- Perform routine & preventative maintenance on all machinery
- Manage the maintenance board and keep it updated at all times
- Managing the general maintenance on ALL machinery, vehicles & handheld devices on premises and ad hoc repairs in & around the building
- Ensuring that the machines or vehicles are serviced at the correct intervals
- Minor installations
- Logging call outs for machinery breakdowns as soon as they happen
- Checking the functionality of safety equipment
- Gas & air leaks to be monitored
- Daily “housekeeping”
- Doing a stock take of all machinery/vehicle parts that we keep in stock once a month
- Liaising with suppliers or technicians
- Following up on quotes
- Logging of ALL incidents on tracker
- Ensuring job cards have been completed correctly
- Responding to emergency breakdowns after hours (if needed)
- Completing Non-Conformances timeously
- Comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations
