About the Role
A well-established and respected organisation within the agricultural sector is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join their team as a Financial Manager based in Swellendam. This opportunity is ideal for a driven finance professional with 35 years of post-articles experience who is eager to make a meaningful impact within a large-scale operational business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full finance function
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk processes
- Coordinate external audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Partner with operational stakeholders to improve business performance
- Lead and develop members of the finance team
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification
- 35 years of post-articles experience required
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Proven ability to operate in a commercially driven environment
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system exposure are advantageous
