Job Description
- Minimum of 2-3 years Dairy farming experience
- Pasture management knowledge
- Computer literacy essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and staff management skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to take initiative, while still being willing to take guidance and advice
- Willingness to work longer hours when necessary
- Ability to speak Xhosa advantageous
- Hardworking, honest and loyal
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport essential
RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOOT LIMITED TO
- Key role in supporting the Senior Manager in all daily farm activities
- Accurate data entry into Afikim and 4th Quadrant
- Daily dairy operations
- Daily duties every second weekend
- Helping with seasonal tasks such as calving, planting, and more
- Managing staff and allocating their daily work
- General farm work, plus machinery and irrigation maintenance
