About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join their team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and business management. They will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions within the organization, developing financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
Monitor and analyze financial performance and variances, identifying areas for improvement
Process the daily accounting receivable transaction to the company
Update customers’ files and their corresponding number in the file system
Maintain the accounts receivables list
Implement the accounting standards for accounts receivable and ledgers in their proper ledger accounts
Ensure correct invoice entries into the accounts receivable module of any accounting system
Verify that office transactions comply with its financial procedures and policies
Administer customers’ application documents to comply with SOPs
Prepare COD receipts for immediate collections

Requirements

Matric
At least 2-3 years experience
Strong analytical skills
General knowledge of general accounting procedures, specifically those related to accounts payable
Proficient in data entry and management (Intermediate level with Excel)
Excellent organisation skills required to manage tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with ability to assist with problem solving
Strong relationship management capability with outstanding negotiation skills
