Job Description

About the Role

To drive revenue growth and operational efficiency within the Rent-to-Own division by managing sales activities, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the rental-to-ownership lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Rent-to-Own products/services to new and existing customers
  • Identify sales opportunities and actively generate leads
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Conduct needs assessments and present suitable Rent-to-Own solutions
  • Prepare and present quotations, contracts, and agreements
  • Guide customers through the Rent-to-Own process from onboarding to ownership
  • Ensure clear communication of terms, conditions, and payment structures
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally
  • Monitor customer accounts, including payment tracking and follow-ups
  • Oversee daily operations of the Rent-to-Own function
  • Coordinate vehicle/product allocation, availability, and returns
  • Ensure contracts, documentation, and compliance requirements are accurately completed
  • Work closely with finance on billing, collections, and account reconciliation
  • Monitor stock/assets within the Rent-to-Own fleet or inventory
  • Track payments, arrears, and account performance
  • Assist with credit checks and customer approvals
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports
  • Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and legal requirements
  • Minimise risk through proper vetting and monitoring of customers
  • Enforce contract terms and manage defaults or repossessions where necessary

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Relevant qualification in Business, Sales, or Operations (preferred)
  • 25 years experience in sales, operations, or a similar role
  • Experience in car rental, fleet management, or finance/Rent-to-Own models is advantageous

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • High level of attention to detail and administrative accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
