About the Role
Our client in investments is seeking a Financial Manager with 8 years post-qualification experience from the professional medical services industry to oversee the financial health of an organization. The role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a finance team of 10 staff
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s goals
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Oversee the consolidation of financial reports and ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards
- Lead the budgeting process, including the preparation, review, and monitoring of budgets
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize liquidity
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Liaise with banks, investors, and other financial institutions
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- BCom Degree – SAIPA – SAICA (an advantage)
- A minimum of 8 years of post-experience in financial management, preferably in the professional services medical industry
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
