Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading construction company in Durbanville and they are seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control and financial management of construction projects from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of accurate bills of quantities and cost estimates.
- Processing and negotiation of payments and final accounts.
- Review and approval of subcontractor quotations and payments.
- Measurement and valuation of variations.
- Adherence to project budgets and cost reporting.
- Procurement of subcontractors and materials.
- Regular site visits and progress meetings.
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Minimum of 3-7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. in the built environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards and claims legislation (NEC4 & JBCC)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software (CSS) & BuildSmart
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

- Valid Drivers License
