About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various machinery and equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, ASI systems, Kuka Robots and HMIs, to ensure optimal production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechatronics and electrical/robotics, with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned and Preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery and equipment, including plant as required.
- Predictive maintenance and communicate with Production as a support.
- Report deterioration and excessive wear and tear on machinery, equipment and plant that requires major repairs to be carried out.
- Report all delays that cannot be completed in the planned time frame due to additional faults and problems identified during maintenance or repairs.
- Assist with manufacturing, refurbishment or modification to existing machinery and equipment as required.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of refurbished, modified or new machines, as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or Matric Certification as qualified Millwright/Mechatronics.
- Computer Literate
- Experience as a qualified tradesman, preferably in automotive sector.
- Experienced in Electrical, Robotics, ASI and Pneumatics.
- Understanding and knowledge of electrical and pneumatic circuits and drawings.
