About the Role
Unique Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Group Financial Manager to lead our finance team in producing accurate and timely financial reports, managing financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed and accurate monthly management accounts of group results for directors, including relevant commentary and analysis
- Investigate and report back on queries, comments or requests from directors
- Provide timely key financial and statistical information required by managers to allow them to make day to day and short-term decisions
- Report on financial results and annual financial statements to financial institutions as and when required
- Oversight of Financial Records
- Ensure accurate and on-time capturing of financial information across all group companies
- Reconcile inter-company accounts balances and explain variances
- Prepare reconciliations of sales data from operational systems to accounting records
- Close monthly accounts across all entities before deadlines
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, entity trial balances, profits per legal entity, debtors and creditors ageings, and ensure entities are commercially viable
- Day to day management of finance team
- Coordinate functions, deadlines, and responsibilities across finance teams to ensure smooth functioning and performance
- Undertake bi-annual performance reviews for all team leaders
- Ensure audit files are prepared accurately and on time for all entity audits
- Prepare full income statement and cash flow budgets/forecasts for the group
- Review and report on monthly actual vs budget figures for significant budget areas
- Act as a signatory and authoriser for banking applications and payments
- Review creditor reconciliations and supporting documentation before payments are made
Requirements
- CA(SA) with 7 years post-article experience
- Strong background in finance management
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial results
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
