About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Assistant Hotel Manager to join our prestigious luxury boutique hotel in Franschhoek. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting department heads, and ensuring the hotel runs like a well-oiled machine.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Supporting and guiding department heads to maintain high standards
- Identifying potential issues and proactively implementing solutions
- Maintaining team motivation and fostering a positive work environment
- Acting as an approachable, supportive figure for staff and guests
- Ensuring the guest experience is seamless across all touchpoints
- Hands-on involvement in operations while maintaining an overview of the property
Requirements
- Strong operational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent people management and communication abilities
- Proactive, approachable, and supportive leadership style
- F&B experience advantageous but not essential
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and keep the engine running
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
Salary & Benefits
- R30,000 – R35,000 per month
