Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage breakfast service kitchen operations
- Prepare and execute high-quality breakfast dishes
- Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality across all dishes
- Manage breakfast preparation and mise en place
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff during morning service
- Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Assist the Executive Chef with menu development
- Ensure efficient stock control and ordering for breakfast operations
- Maintain a calm and organised kitchen during busy services
- Assist with general kitchen operations when required
Criteria
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Culinary qualification or relevant professional training
- Passion for cooking and working with seasonal, farm-driven ingredients
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and plating standards
- Positive attitude and ability to work within a professional kitchen team
- Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Live in close proximity to Franschhoek
