About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our luxury guest farm based in Franschhoek, Western Cape. This role is ideal for a creative chef who values collaboration, honest produce, and meaningful guest interaction. The successful candidate will work closely with visiting chefs from around the world and be comfortable engaging with guests in a warm, natural manner occasionally welcoming them into the kitchen to share in the cooking experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement daily menus aligned with the farm’s culinary philosophy
- Make full use of seasonal, garden-driven produce
- Communicate regarding available produce and harvesting
- Adapt menus creatively and flexibly to accommodate guest dietary requirements
- Deliver consistently excellent food and service
- Maintain a calm and focused presence in a high-pressure environment
- Communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience within the culinary industry
- Strong interest and experience in plant-based cooking
- An interest in or understanding of medicinal herbs is advantageous
- Confident, professional, and comfortable interacting with guests
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Passion for beautiful, honest produce and thoughtful cooking
Salary & Benefits
Salary R15;000 – R18;000 (Negotiable DOE)
