About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and polished Lodge Manager / Housekeeper to join our newly developed 5-bedroom luxury lodge in Franschhoek. As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will oversee the daily operations of the lodge and housekeeping department, ensuring impeccable service and presentation for high-end leisure guests and small corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full daily operations of the lodge and housekeeping department
- Select, train, and supervise housekeeping staff to 5-star standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure immaculate presentation of all guest areas at all times
- Deliver personalised guest service and manage guest relations professionally
- Maintain strict discretion, confidentiality, and high service ethics
- Manage the lodge for both leisure guests and small, exclusive corporate retreats
- Ensure the property consistently meets luxury hospitality standards
Requirements
- Extensive experience in luxury hospitality, preferably 5-star lodges or boutique properties
- Ideally suited to a retired or senior individual with strong leadership capabilities
- Proven experience training and managing housekeeping teams
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to oversee operations independently and uphold brand standards
Qualifications
- Extensive 5-star hospitality experience
- Formal education/certification (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month, depending on experience. Accommodation included on the estate.
