Franschhoek: Maintenance Handyman

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Handyman to join our team in Franschhoek. As a key member of our facilities maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools and equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments with minimal disruption to operations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, making necessary repairs or arranging for external service providers when required
• Perform general handyman tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs
• Respond to building maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs

Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Technical qualification in Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering or related field (beneficial)
• Minimum of 2 years general electrical, plumbing, and/or air conditioning and heat pump repairs and maintenance experience
• Hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of safe working procedures of electrical tools and equipment
• Basic hand tools and electrical knowledge
• Valid Drivers license would be beneficial
