Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Electrical Draughtsman to take ownership of all electrical drafting activities within our business. This individual will act as the key interface between electrical engineering, loom manufacturing & installation teams, electrical suppliers, ensuring that all electrical documentation is accurate, manufacturable, and compliant with standards.

Key Responsibilities

Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and interconnect documentation using SolidWorks Electrical
Create complete harness documentation packages including loom drawings, connector pinouts, wire lists, labels and identification, and routing diagrams
Assist engineers with design intent translation into clear, production-friendly documentation
Work closely with loom manufacturing teams to ensure that harnesses are manufacturable, clearly documented, and easy to replicate
Support aircraft assembly technicians during installation by providing updated drawings, clarification, and troubleshooting visual documentation
Implement feedback from production to continuously improve documentation and reduce errors
Interpret supplier drawings and interface control documents (ICDs) from avionics and electrical equipment manufacturers
Convert supplier-provided material into schematics and harness drawings
Maintain accurate records of connector configurations, wire types, and system-specific installation requirements
Maintain all electrical documentation within the company’s PDM system
Ensure full revision control, drawing accuracy, and change management compliance
Support the creation of electrical installation manuals, assembly instructions, and service documentation
Establish and maintain electrical drafting standards, templates, symbols, libraries, and drawing practices
Contribute to the development of system design conventions and documentation workflows for new models

Requirements

N4/N5 or higher in drafting, electrical engineering, or related field

1–3 years of experience in electrical drafting, preferably in aerospace or automotive environments

Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and 2D SolidWorks Electrical (or equivalent ECAD tools)
