About the Role

A manufacturer within the power distribution and electrical switchboard industry, located in Wadeville, Germiston, is seeking a Commercial Estimator to join their operations. We are looking for a candidate with experience in estimating and commercial aspects of tenders, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical switchboards and power distribution boards
Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine costings
Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
Evaluate commercial aspects of tenders, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation
Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to align estimates with operational capabilities
Review and refine costing models to improve accuracy and competitiveness

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in estimating within electric switchboard or power distribution board manufacturing
Proven commercial estimating experience (not purely quote processing)
Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle (mandatory)

Qualifications

Matric qualification (tertiary qualification advantageous but not mandatory)
