About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineer: Managed Services to join our technical team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure across multiple client environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain client network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless technologies (Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, HP, Aruba).
- Manage on-premise and cloud-based server environments using Windows Server (2008/2012/2016/2019), VMware and Hyper-V.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure environments, including user management, group policies and cloud services.
- Implement and maintain firewall and VPN solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet).
- Monitor and manage security controls including firewalls, antivirus and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, patch management and security updates.
- Assist clients with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Provide technical support across systems, networks and applications.
- Diagnose and resolve issues remotely using monitoring and remote access tools.
- Troubleshoot issues ranging from desktop support to complex network problems.
- Administer VMware environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtual servers.
- Provide Azure cloud support to ensure scalable and resilient client infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong technical specialist with solid experience in Microsoft, cloud, networking, security and virtualisation technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Salary & Benefits
- USD 1200.00 – USD 1500.00 per month
