The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for ensuring reporting integrity while continuously improving systems, processes, and controls across the Group.

Duties:
 
Financial Reporting & Close:
 

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare consolidated reporting packs, management reports, and analytical commentary.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and IFRS standards.
• Prepare technical accounting papers and review non-routine transactions.
• Review and approve journal entries and financial postings.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and lead balance sheet review meetings.
• Manage intercompany accounting processes and ensure alignment across entities.
• Support statutory reporting, year-end processes, and external audit requirements.
• Project manage interim and year-end reporting cycles.

 
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning:
 

• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with Finance Managers on financial planning activities.

 
Process Improvement & Automation:
 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within record-to-report processes.
• Enhance reporting efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce operational costs.
• Support optimisation and effective use of financial systems and reporting tools.
• Promote standardisation and adoption of Group reporting processes.

 
Compliance, Risk & Internal Controls:
 

• Review and strengthen financial controls to mitigate risk and safeguard assets.
• Maintain documentation aligned with UK Corporate Governance requirements.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Implement and monitor corrective actions arising from audit findings.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
• Support bond, listing, and corporate governance compliance requirements.
• Prepare King V and UK Corporate Governance gap analyses and reporting.
• Benchmark and review policies and audit committee charters.
• Maintain and update the Group risk register.

 
Stakeholder Engagement:
 

• Build collaborative relationships across finance teams, operational leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Support cross-functional alignment across multiple regions and business units.

 

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong academic foundation in Accounting or Finance.

 
Experience:

• 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience in financial reporting or a similar role.
• Proven experience in IFRS reporting environments.
• Exposure to mining or natural resources industry advantageous.
• Experience working with ERP and financial consolidation systems.
• Experience supporting audits and complex reporting cycles in multi-entity structures.
