They are seeking a motivated Junior Internal Auditor to join the internal audit team. In this role, you will assist in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across the organisation. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in audit planning, testing, and reporting, while developing a strong foundation for a career in internal auditing.

Duties:
- Execute internal audits across various business units, both independently and within a team.
- Identify gaps in procedures, systems, and internal controls, providing actionable recommendations to strengthen governance.
- Support the implementation of audit recommendations and monitor progress.
- Conduct stock-take audits across branches, factories, and divisions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in ad-hoc investigations to detect and prevent fraud or asset misappropriation.
- Review business processes and assess operational risks, evaluating the effectiveness of current controls.
- Provide advisory support in operational areas such as inventory management, cash handling, and warehousing, recommending sustainable improvements.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom in Internal Audit, BTech in Internal Audit, or a related qualification.
- Studying towards CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is advantageous.
Experience:
- Solid background in retail operations with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with SAP is advantageous but not required.
- Highly diligent with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and interpret critical details.
- Excellent report-writing and documentation capabilities.
- Sound independent judgment and decision-making skills.
