About the Role
As a Line Cook at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation and Cooking: prepare food on assigned station, including tasks like chopping vegetables, mixing sauces, and cooking entrees and side dishes.
- Following Recipes: adhere to established recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistent quality and flavour.
- Plating Dishes: present dishes attractively and ensure they are ready for service.
- Kitchen Organization and Cleanliness: maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Inventory and Stock Management: manage inventory levels, stocking stations, and ensure supplies are available for service.
- Teamwork and Communication: work collaboratively with other kitchen staff members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Formal Culinary qualifications
- At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in a busy café / restaurant
- Solid understanding of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen procedures.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
Qualifications
Formal Culinary qualifications are required for this role.
