About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman/Manager to join our site and installation teams in the Glass & Aluminium Industry Systems sector, specifically in East Rand and Pretoria (Gauteng). The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing and installing South African aluminium systems. They should demonstrate active knowledge in the trade and industry, with a strong focus on quality delivery and cost/time control.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on installation work
- Reading and following architectural and engineering drawings
- Delivering high-quality products on time
- Cost and time management
- Staff management and HR matters
- Site surveying and measurements
- Detailing shop requirements for the site
- Coordinating with shops and customers to meet site needs
- Leading installation teams during projects
- Maintaining accurate time and cost records during installations
- Administration duties, including safety file population and managing programs
- Handling multiple sites simultaneously in terms of quality delivery and time management
- Providing continuous customer feedback
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and installing South African aluminium systems
- Active knowledge in the trade and Glass & Aluminium industry in South Africa
- Hands-on installation experience
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering drawings
- Ability to manage staff and HR matters effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong site surveying and measurements skills
