Job Description

A specialised distributor of electronic components and embedded solutions is looking for a technically strong Sales Engineer to grow business within the South African electronics design and manufacturing market.

This role is ideal for someone who understands component-level sales, can engage with design engineers, and add value beyond pricing through technical insight and product selection.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Proven experience in electronic component sales (essential)
  • Strong understanding of electronics, embedded systems, or design environments
  • Ability to engage with design engineers, OEMs, and procurement teams
  • Strong commercial and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Job Experience & Skills Required

  • Develop new business within OEM, industrial, automotive, and electronics manufacturing sectors
  • Promote a wide range of components including power solutions, magnetics, ICs, connectivity, and wireless modules
  • Support customers with component selection and design-in opportunities
  • Prepare quotations and manage the full sales cycle
  • Build long-term relationships with engineering and procurement teams
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and supplier product ranges

The company supplies a broad portfolio of electronic components, including power management, wireless/IoT modules, capacitors, inductors, and circuit protection devices.
