About the Role
The George Campus of Nelson Mandela University is seeking an Associate Lecturer Economics to join our team of educators. As an Associate Lecturer, you will be responsible for orientating and lecturing undergraduate extended programme students, providing academic support, handling administrative duties, and participating in various engagement initiatives both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate learning and teaching of Extended Economics modules (ECO10X1/2; ECO1X1/2; and ECC201)
- Academic administration pertaining to the listed modules on the extended programme
- Contribute to curriculum development on the extended programme
- Provide academic support pertaining to the listed modules
- Coordinate the relevant functions pertaining to the marketing of the extended programme
Requirements
- Must be in possession of at least Honours/PGDip in Economics (NQF8) qualification
- At least 1 year experience in lecturing at the undergraduate level, preferably on extended/foundation programmes
- Preference will be given to candidates who have made progress towards higher degree in Economics and started to contribute towards research and supervision
