Job Description
Hire Resolves client in the Construction industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Health & Safety Officer in George, Western Cape.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with construction health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement site-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify hazards.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventative actions.
- Provide safety training and promote a safety culture.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
- Contribute to risk assessments and safe work methods.
Requirements:
- Registration with SACPMP
- Relevant Health and Safety Qualification (e.g., degree, diploma, certificate)
- Minimum 2 Years experience in the Construction Industry
- Strong knowledge of the South African OHS Act and construction regulations
- Proven skills in risk assessment and incident investigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Auditing and report writing skills
- Computer Literacy (Outlook / Basic Word & Excel)
- Drivers License Code 08 or above
