About the Role
As a Junior IT Support Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our company’s technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining various systems, providing technical support to clients, and ensuring seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain network cabling, routers, switches, and related infrastructure
- Install and configure CCTV systems and ensure optimal performance
- Install and maintain biometric and access control systems
- Provide on-site and remote IT support to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems
- Provide clear technical explanations to non-technical clients
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Ensure all documentation is updated in company systems
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Valid South African drivers license
- Willingness to be on standby every second weekend
- Basic understanding of:
- CCTV systems
- Access control systems
- Network cabling and infrastructure
- Routers, switches, and modems
