Job Description

Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route. We are now recruiting for a qualified Refrigeration Technician – someone who has energy, works well in a team, and has a passion for this industry.
 
This position requires that the candidate have a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent and recognized apprenticeship and certification as a qualified air-conditioning and refrigeration technician, coupled with at least 2 years’ working experience as handyman in a resort and electrical environment.
 
Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Responsible for the installation and maintenance of all air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment;
  • Carry out compliance testing as per manufacturer specs;
  • Plan, allocate and oversee any work carried out by contractors;
  • Ensure a high standard of workmanship at all times;
  • Assist tech manager to ensure maximum efficiency;
  • Assist the Pool attendant with Minor pool maintenance if and when needed;
  • General maintenance duties;
  • Assist plumber as and when required.

We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public Holidays and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.
