About the Role
As a Senior Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of properties on behalf of our clients. This includes managing budgets, marketing properties, and ensuring timely repairs and maintenance are carried out.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and managing property budgets
- Marketing properties through advertising, viewings, and referral networks
- Interviewing prospective tenants and conducting credit checks
- Setting rental rates and negotiating and enforcing lease agreements
- Addressing tenant complaints and inspecting vacated units
- Coordinating and overseeing repairs and maintenance work
- Collecting rent, managing arrears, and handling operating expenses
- Maintaining accurate records of income, expenses, signed leases, complaints, and maintenance
- Preparing financial performance reports on managed properties
- Terminating leases and initiating eviction proceedings where necessary
Requirements
- More than 5 years’ experience in Commercial Property Management
- A relevant degree or diploma (advantageous)
- Willingness to travel for a total of more than 10 weeks per year
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good customer service orientation
