The Role This is a senior leadership role offering a true right-hand and integrator position, working closely with leadership across strategy, execution, and business management. Key responsibilities include: Leading the back office function – overseeing finance, HR, and legal – including procurement through the Financial Manager, statutory, POPI and PAIA compliance through the Head of Legal, and Labour Act, OHS, recruitment, employee development and retention through HR Managing facilities, including office and landlord management, general office administration (including reception), and oversight of the IT subcontractor Ensuring efficient and optimal use of the SAGE ERP system, overseeing accounting and financial reporting within SAGE, and managing the financial audit process Ensuring compliance with Tax and BBBEE requirements and overseeing the performance management system Managing project accounting, including timesheets Overseeing the proposal and tender systems for tracking and statistics, and preparing and reviewing Proposal, Order and Project P&L reports, with active participation in proposal reviews Overseeing vendor registration, supplier vetting, invoicing and project procurement through the Financial Manager Overseeing subcontractor appointment and subcontracting through the Head of Legal and Financial Manager Success in the role will be measured against cost control, company and per-project profitability, the quality and timeliness of financial reporting and audits, back office employee performance and satisfaction, tax and BBBEE compliance, the effectiveness of the performance management system, and the overall quality of facilities management. Qualifications & Experience Minimum: Relevant financial undergraduate qualification 812 years experience in professional services and consulting environment in a combination of finance, legal, and operations roles Experience working in a high-performance environment Strongly Preferred: Experience across financial management, legal/commercial coordination, and HR or team leadership Professional qualification (CA(SA), MBA, LLB advantageous but not essential)
