About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our luxury game lodge team, responsible for overseeing daily operations and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service delivery
- Manage, direct, and motivate staff to achieve excellence in food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
- Monitor and control inventory, stock levels, and ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize profitability
- Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, and expenses, including month-end GP calculations and budget monitoring
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to ensure consistency across all departments
Requirements
- At least 5 – 8 years restaurant management experience in lodges and fine dining establishments
- Knowledge of a wide selection of cuisines and signature South African wines
- Excellent guest service skills and personality, with ability to lead and motivate staff
- Strong administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Point of Sale and Back of House Systems
