About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Lodge General Manager to support the Senior General Manager at our well-established hospitality lodge in Hout Bay, with a primary focus on Hospitality Management & Administration. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in hospitality management, administration, compliance, and financial oversight. As a fully authorized Manager on Duty, you will act as a General Manager in your own right, overseeing all hospitality management and administration aspects of the lodge.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure expert management of all administrative functions of the lodge
- Collaborate with the Senior GM to prioritize guest experience
- Make operational decisions and lead with confidence
- Oversight of compliance administration, payroll, gratuities, contracts, supplier agreements, and event-related administration (weddings, anniversaries)
- Monthly financial reporting to finance
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Requirements
- Proven experience in Hospitality Management & Administration as a Lodge General Manager
- Full responsibility for compliance and governance administration
- Authorization to act as Manager on Duty
- High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R40,000 per month (negotiable, depending on experience)
