Job Summary
Key performance areas: Manage Social Work Department Provide counselling to children and families. Refer clients for statutory services if needed. Facilitate therapeutic group sessions for children, parents and teachers. Writing reports and plan therapeutic activities. Provide staff training as needed. Develop educational material for newsletters and other communication channels. Supervise and mentor students and volunteers. Keep clients records updated and safe. Ensure activities are implemented efficiently and in accordance with the organisations strategy, policies, procedures and practices.Suitable candidate will have: Qualifications: Baccalaureate or Advanced degree in Social Work from a Tertiary Institution.Experience & Knowledge: Experience in a similar role with training in counselling. 10 years experience in investigative social work and working with children and families. Knowledge of the Childrens Act.Skills & Attributes: Computer literate Excellent verbal & writing skills. English and another South African language. Can work in a team and independent Specific
