Irene: Study Manager

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Civil or related discipline). Minimum 8 years experience in the mining industry. Proven experience in both underground and surface mining projects . Demonstrated experience managing Concept, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility studies. Strong knowledge of EPCM project environments. Proficiency in project planning and cost control methodologies. Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Professional registration (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng) will be advantageous. Roles and Responsibilities: Study Leadership & Delivery Lead and manage mining project studies (Concept, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and Bankable Feasibility Studies). Develop study execution plans, budgets, schedules, and resource plans. Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated study outputs. Ensure studies are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Technical & Operational Oversight Oversee technical inputs for both underground and surface mining operations. Review and validate engineering designs, cost estimates, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with industry standards, mining regulations, and client specifications. Provide strategic input into mine planning, infrastructure development, and operational readiness. Commercial & Stakeholder Management Manage study budgets and monitor cost control. Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Prepare and present study reports and executive summaries to stakeholders. Support proposal development and tender submissions where required. Governance & Reporting Ensure proper documentation and version control of study deliverables. Maintain quality assurance and risk management processes. Provide regular progress reporting to senior management and clients. Closing Date: Submissions for this vacancy will close on 19 February 2026.
