About the Role

Our client, a well-established and reputable organisation, is currently looking to employ a Stock and Admin Clerk based out of Isando, Johannesburg. This person will report into the Procurement and Admin Supervisor and assist in ensuring that the company has a constant supply of stock and that all procurement admin is up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily inter-branch transfers (IBTs) for all branches
  • Arrange courier collections for weekly IBTs when required
  • Capture Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for local stock creditors and couriers with supervisor approval
  • Process foreign POs and GRNs for distribution centre containers
  • Handle credit notes for stock movements between branches
  • Create POs for online orders with supervisor approval
  • Assist with POs when the Finance Department is unavailable
  • Prepare and update weekly container arrival reports
  • Process stock journals for damages, corrections, assets, conversions, and warranty
  • Pull and upload daily Takealot reports
  • Generate sales reports when required
  • Send out weekly sales orders and inter-branch transfer (IBT) reports showing stock movements between branches
  • Maintain proper filing systems
  • Order stationery for Head Office and Distribution Centre
  • Assist with checking stock and sales reports for local orders
  • Contact local suppliers to request stock quotations
  • Assist with pulling stock reports from the system
  • Support monthly stock takes
  • Help investigate stock discrepancies
  • Assist with stock take journals

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification an advantage
  • Min 5 years experience in procurement/logistics environment
  • Product and application knowledge, including ability to read catalogues
  • Strong Computer literate: MS Office (Excel is a must)
  • Well-spoken and presented (fluent in English)
  • Good communicator
  • Strong admin skills
  • Drivers license and own vehicle
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines
  • Energetic and willing to learn
  • Enjoy analyzing and solving complex problems
  • Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Basic mathematical knowledge
