Hospitality and Outdoor- New Vacancy-Hotel General Manager Plettenberg Bay- Boutique Hotel This is an intimate, design-led luxury estate originally conceived as a private lodge for discerning international guests. Following a substantial interior refurbishment led by British interior architects, the property now operates at an international standard while retaining a warm, personal and unpretentious atmosphere. We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to act as the daily custodian of the estate. This is a hands-on, highly visible role suited to a natural host who understands that true luxury is felt rather than announced. You will lead the property in the manner of a maître de maison , ensuring each guest journey is seamless, composed and quietly exceptional. You will protect the aesthetic integrity of the estate, set the cultural tone for the team, and represent the owners on site with sound judgement and discretion. Requirements · A business degree, hotel or hospitality management qualification (highly Beneficial) · Have a minimum of 5 years hotel / hospitality experience in a senior position (Essential)-preferably GM/Asst GM. · Strong financial acumen, strong commercial flair with a sense of entrepreneurship · Strong leadership skills · Critical attention to detail in standards · Good F&B Knowledge · Excellent sales and marketing experience · Strong focus on increasing room revenue · Be deadline driven and manage projects successfully. · A self-starter, with strong business acumen, that can deliver results in tough times. · PDP driver’s license · General technical/mechanical knowledge necessary Package on offer · R Negotiable pm, depending on experience Starting Date: June 2026
