Sales & Marketing Coordinator. High End 5* Hotel Cape Town. To optimise the efficiency of the Sales & Marketing Department by providing key liaison support. To maximise revenues through all incoming customer queries. Responsible for the administrative functioning of the department. Responsibilities Establish effective customer relationships and handle enquiries and requests either personally or over the phone. Assist the Sales Team by making reservations at the hotel for FIT’s / groups / conferences, preparing rate proposals and following up on the business to ensure revenue. Handle non-residential conference queries and ensure enhanced business. Assist & maintain an efficient administration system within the department. Maintain and ensure regular update of the team’s customer database as well as all incoming guest queries. Ensure an efficient and accurate system, both manual and electronic for maintaining record of key data and documentation. Assist the Commercial Sales Manager/Director of Sales with generation of MIS and other departmental reports. Responsible for the inventory management of all Sales aids – brochures, CD’s and any other promotional material. Assist with related duties as and when required by Sales & Marketing management. Ensures that you work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others. To be involved with Health & Safety within the department. Ensuring compliance within the department and that Health & Safety directives are carried out. Anticipate possible and probable hazards and conditions and either correct them or take action to prevent them from happening. Ensure that the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct maintained. Continuously endeavour to improve the department’s efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function. Ensures effective implementation of the Tata Code of Conduct at all times. Efficient implementation of all work related instructions given by the superiors / management Qualifications and Experience § Diploma / Degree from a reputable hotel school § 1 Year experience in a similar position Directly Reports To the Director of Revenue Key Customers Immediate team, managers and associates from support departments, internal and external guests. Key Success Metrics Guest Satisfaction, Performance against budgets, Cost Saving Language Proficiency Should be fluent in English.
