About the Role
As a Project Planner at Zecutive Consultants, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project schedules in a fast-paced consulting environment. You will work closely with stakeholders to set up project schedules using Primavera and/or MS Projects, ensuring consistency and reliable progress reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying critical path issues, resource loading problems, and risks to ensure projects are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and setting up of project schedule with project stakeholders’ input using Primavera and/or MS projects
- Following project planning processes and company procedure on all assigned projects
- Ensuring consistency and reliable progress reporting
- Highlighting any deviation within the programme to the Project Manager, and assisting with innovative and appropriate planning advice
- Implementing planning logic, understanding inter dependencies and knock-on effects
- Highlighting critical path and resource loading issues
- Tracking baseline vs actual progress on schedules
- Highlighting risks to ensure project completion on time – raising early warnings with possible impacts to project schedule
- Weekly reporting to internal and external parties by means of schedule updates and progress reporting
- Assisting subcontractors, aligning, and integrating project schedules and progress reports
- Working on-site either part of the week/month, or full-time on-site, based on the project phase
Requirements
- Related qualification
- 3-6 years’ Primavera Planning experience in the mining/power plants and/or infrastructure industries
- Experience in a similar role, planning of large construction and feasibility phases of projects
- Primavera P6 and MS Projects knowledge essential
- Sound Understanding of installation projects in Power Plants / infrastructure construction / mining environments
- Consulting experience highly recommended
- Driven ‘Can-do’ attitude, with a passion for mega project planning
- Process orientated and assertive to ensure that complex projects are executed in accordance with company established practices and safety requirements
- Able to work under pressure and to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of the outputs
- Analytical thinker, energetic and flexible

R55,000 – R80,000 p/m (depending on qualifications and experience). Client provides on-site accommodation and pays for travel expenses to site. Possibly renewable contracts on short-term projects.
