About the Role

The Assistant Buyer role at Career Circuit supports the buying function by assisting with product selection, range planning, and order placement while ensuring accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and supplier documentation. This position involves liaising with suppliers on orders, deliveries, pricing, and product queries, as well as tracking orders to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Buyer in product selection, range planning, and order placement
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, pricing, and product issues
  • Track orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timelines are met
  • Maintain accurate product, pricing, and supplier information on systems
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment planning
  • Support performance analysis including sales, margins, and stock reports
  • Conduct competitor and market research to identify trends and opportunities
  • Assist with promotions, product launches, and seasonal planning
  • Provide general administrative support to the buying team

Requirements

  • 2 years Marketing/Product management experience preferred
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Strong Communication and relationship building skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
