About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing daily warehouse activities
- Manage inbound receiving, storage, and outbound dispatch
- Oversee workflow processes including bin management, unit picking, and processing
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff
- Allocate tasks effectively and monitor performance
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain high levels of stock accuracy
- Conduct cycle counts and physical stock audits
- Reconcile inventory within the WMS system
- Enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is properly maintained
- Promote a safe and compliant working environment
- Identify inefficiencies and operational bottlenecks
- Implement process improvements and standardisation initiatives
- Generate reports on warehouse performance and productivity
- Track stock discrepancies and operational metrics
- Provide feedback and insights to management
Requirements
