About the Role

A forward-thinking technology environment is seeking a Backend C# Developer with strong Azure cloud experience and practical exposure to AI and LLM integrations. This role focuses on building robust APIs, microservices, and intelligent backend solutions that power automation, insights, and enhanced digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices using C# and .NET
  • Build and maintain cloud-based solutions using Azure services
  • Integrate AI/LLM capabilities such as Azure OpenAI into backend systems
  • Develop and maintain data access layers using SQL and ORM frameworks
  • Implement secure, performance, and reliable distributed systems
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and follow Git-based development workflows

Requirements

  • Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: 37 years experience in backend development using C# and .NET technologies
  • Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, Web API, and microservices architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage)
  • Experience with SQL and ORMs such as Entity Framework Core or Dapper
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and RESTful API standards
  • Knowledge of security standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and managed identities
  • Exposure to AI/LLM integrations , embeddings, vector indexes, or RAG-based solutions

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (if applicable)
