Job Summary
Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Buying Manager with a strong background in the footwear industry, specifically in the female category. The ideal candidate, preferably of Arabic nationality, will possess a deep understanding of current trends, key brands, and consumer preferences. They will be responsible for developing and implementing buying strategies aligned with the company`s overall business objectives. The candidate should have a forward-thinking approach to anticipate market changes and adapt buying strategies accordingly.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement buying strategies aligned with the company`s overall business objectives. Conduct market research to stay informed about current trends, key brands, and consumer preferences in the female footwear category. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure optimal stock levels. Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best deals. Coordinate with the merchandising and marketing teams to ensure cohesive product offerings and promotional strategies. Prepare regular reports on buying performance, market trends, and competitive activity. Manage the buying budget and ensure all purchasing activities are cost-effective and within budget. Lead and mentor a team of buyers, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. Key Skills: Strong knowledge and experience in the female footwear category. Deep understanding and analytical capabilities of current trends, key brands, and consumer preferences. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Forward-thinking approach to anticipate market changes and adapt buying strategies accordingly. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in using buying and inventory management software. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful buying strategies. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis. Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a buying role within the footwear industry, with a focus on the female category. Bachelors degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
