About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Content Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content that drives engagement and supports our brand’s marketing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and publish platform-ready assets (short-form video, statics, carousels, stories) for social channels
  • Film and edit content tailored to each platforms format, pacing, subtitles, thumbnails, aspect ratios, and audio
  • Deliver content that supports key marketing priorities, including campaigns and service launches
  • Ensure all content aligns with the client’s brand voice, look, and feel
  • Help execute the content calendar, prepare posts for publishing, and keep assets organised
  • Monitor trends, platform updates, and high-performing formats; suggest brand-safe, adaptable ideas
  • Experiment with new features and tools to drive innovation
  • Assist with basic community engagement and flag sentiment issues early
  • Track content performance and adjust based on learnings; support reporting with top posts and insights
  • Work with internal teams and external videographers; capture BTS content on shoot and event days

Requirements

  • 24 years of experience in social media content creation (agency or in-house)
  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Multimedia Design, or a related field
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video and platform-native work
  • Confident using CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing tools
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube (content performance nuances)
  • High attention to detail, strong creative instinct, and ability to work quickly without losing quality
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and take feedback constructively
