Job Description:

  • As the Group Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial information across multiple entities, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, the Companies Act, and relevant regulations.
  • Your role will include monthly and quarterly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of group financial statements and board packs. You will analyse financial results, highlight key trends, and ensure accurate intercompany eliminations across the group.
  • You will take ownership of the group budgeting process, assist with tax calculations and disclosures, and ensure compliance with JSE reporting requirements where applicable. Additionally, you will support audit processes, respond to regulatory queries, and contribute to analyst presentations.
  • Further responsibilities include maintaining reporting structures within ERP systems, managing foreign exchange reporting, supporting finance teams with IFRS technical guidance, and driving group-wide consistency in accounting practices.

 
Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ post-article experience as a Chartered Accountant
  • Strong IFRS technical knowledge and group consolidations experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience on SAP or similar ERP systems (advantageous)
  • Exposure to mergers & acquisitions (advantageous)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • High attention to detail and ability to take initiative

 
Qualification:

  • CA(SA) (completed articles required)
