Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our clients team in Boksburg . The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with company standards. Key Responsibilities Diagnose faults in diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections Repair or replace defective parts such as injectors, brakes, clutches, gearboxes, and engines Conduct engine overhauls and rebuilds when required Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify issues Ensure all work is completed according to safety and quality standards Keep accurate service records and job reports Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when required Comply with company policies, health & safety regulations, and OEM standards Requirements Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test required) Minimum 35 years experience as a diesel mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Experience with trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, or earthmoving equipment (advantage) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills Physically fit and able to work under pressure Valid drivers license (Code 10 or 14 advantageous) Willingness to work overtime or standby when required Must be based in or willing to work in Boksburg Skills & Competencies Attention to detail Time management Team player with good communication skills Self-motivated and reliable Strong mechanical aptitude
