About the Role
Our client in the Manufacturing sector is currently looking to employ an Export Commercial Coordinator to join their team based in Isando, Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-border environment and enjoys coordinating complex export movements from port to final destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all export movements from port to bonded warehouse and export markets
- Arrange transport into and out of bonded warehouses
- Enable and coordinate all export deal movements
- Resolve logistical challenges, delays, or disruptions proactively
- Liaise daily with transport and movement companies to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries
- Monitor fuel usage and ensure correct fuel allocation per route
- Maintain accurate movement and fuel usage reports
- Reconcile, process, and file Proof of Deliveries (PODs)
- Handle cross-border and export documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, export requirements, and company policies
- Maintain accurate administrative records for all movements
- Provide accurate delivery feedback to the export sales team
- Prepare and present logistics and movement reports
- Maintain proper movement records and reporting
- Manage accidents and incidents relating to export movements
- Escalate and resolve issues efficiently to minimise operational risk
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks and assist with special projects as required
Requirements
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Logistics
- 25 years experience in a similar export or logistics coordination role
- Experience within the automotive industry or logistics companies
- Must have export movement experience
- SADC preferred
- Sound understanding of Incoterms and country-specific export requirements
- Valid Code 10 drivers licence
