About the Role
Our client in the Engineering field is currently looking to employ a PV Test Technician, an entry-level role based in Port Elizabeth. This position offers a great opportunity for someone to start their career in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with testing of PV modules, including Power measurements, imaging using different techniques, visual inspection and electrical insulation testing.
- Performing onsite PV tests including Power measurements and imaging techniques.
- Performing onsite PV plant inspections.
- Performing pre-onsite equipment checks and preparation of equipment under supervision for on-site projects.
- Performing routine equipment checks and maintenance.
- Assisting with sample receiving and handling.
- Assisting in lab activities and assisting with processing of test data, basic analysis of results and generating reports.
- General Housekeeping and assistance.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- National Certificate/National Diploma (T3/N6), National Diploma in Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering
- Good English proficiency
- Valid Drivers License with at least 1 year’s driving experience
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office: Teams; Word; Outlook)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including data entry, formulas, filtering and basic charting
- South African Citizen
