About the Role

A strong opportunity for a hands-on Financial Accountant who thrives in a structured, high-performance finance environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings both technical discipline and operational ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of transactions.
Oversee debtor and creditor reconciliations and resolve queries timeously.
Manage month-end and year-end processes.
Compile and submit financial reports as required.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies.
Prepare audit working papers and respond to audit queries.
Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
Manage financial processes within Sage Evolution, including processing, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Support system improvements and drive efficiencies.
Monitor cashflow, prepare forecasts, and reconcile bank accounts.
Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with budget and forecast preparation.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
35 years experience as a Financial Accountant.
Sage Evolution experience (essential).
Strong IFRS knowledge and proven month-end capability.
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary: R550,000 – R650,000 per annum, depending on experience.
