Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design fire protection systems for buildings and structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
2. Conduct fire risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate fire hazards.
3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
4. Review construction plans and specifications to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
5. Conduct inspections of buildings and facilities to assess their fire safety readiness.
6. Provide guidance and training to staff on fire safety procedures and protocols.
7. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in fire protection technology.
8. Respond to fire emergencies and assist in coordinating firefighting efforts.
9. Prepare technical reports and documentation related to fire safety compliance.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering or related field.
– Minimum of 5 years experience in fire engineering or related role.
– Professional Engineering certification preferred.
– Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations.
– Proficient in using fire protection design software and tools.
