Hire Resolves client in the investment industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Graduate Analyst in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with financial analysis, research, and due diligence for transactions.  
• Support the deal team in preparing pitch books and presentations.  
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and data analysis tools.  
• Conduct market research and analyse industry trends.  
• Assist with transaction execution, including deal closing and documentation.  
• Manage data room contents and indexes.  
• Prepare materials for investor meetings and publications.  
• Update pipelines, presentations, and other marketing materials.  
• Participate in meetings with investors, prospective investors, and partners.  
• Conduct due diligence on potential investee companies.  
• Prepare investment memoranda and present investment opportunities.  
• Analyse financial forecasts, benchmarking, and covenant compliance

Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Investments.  
• Strong academic record in mathematics (minimum 80% in matric) and English (minimum 70% in matric).  
• Some experience in the financial sector, specifically in credit or private capital investing/analysis, is considered a plus.  
• Demonstrated strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.  
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.  
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.  
• A proactive and collaborative approach to work.  
• Proficiency in French, Portuguese or Mandarin is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets.
• Maintaining and reviewing data room contents and indexes.
• Drafting announcements and preparing materials for investor meetings.
• Researching and selecting articles for internal and external publications.
• Updating pipelines, presentations, and other marketing materials.
• Participating in meetings with investors, prospective investors, and partners.
• Conducting due diligence on potential investee companies, including KYC, background checks, and financial analysis
• Preparing investment memoranda and presenting investment opportunities to the Investment Committee
• Analysing financial forecasts, benchmarking, and covenant compliance
• Researching and selecting articles for internal and external publications
• Updating pipelines, presentations, and other marketing materials

Responsibilities:

• Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Investments, or similar
• Minimum matric mathematics: 80%; Minimum matric English: 70%; or equivalent A-levels
• Some experience in financial institutions, credit investing/analysis, or private capital investing is advantageous
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• A proactive and team-oriented mindset
• Language skills in French, Portuguese or Mandarin are bonus, but not essential
