About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Electronic Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our design and development team, you will be responsible for assisting with circuit design, prototyping, PCB layout, testing & validation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Circuit Design: Assisting with the design and development of analogue and digital circuits.
- Prototyping: Soldering, assembling, and testing prototype boards.
- PCB Layout: Learning to use EDA tools (like Altium, KiCad, or OrCAD) to design multi-layer PCBs.
- Testing & Validation: Using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters to debug hardware.
- Documentation: Keeping clear records of designs, test results, and component specifications.
Requirements
- Education: A Degree (BEng/BSc or MEng) in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundational Knowledge: A solid grasp of Ohms Law, semiconductor physics, and circuit analysis.
- Hand Skills: Ability to handle a soldering iron without burning the desk (or yourself).
- Soft Skills: A genuine “can-do” attitude and the ability to explain complex ideas without using too much jargon.
