About the Role
Our client, a leading Freight Forwarding Company, is seeking an HR Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Industrial Relations (IR) and union exposure, with strong Afrikaans language skills, essential for communicating effectively with clients in various regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Industrial Relations (IR) functions, including employee relations and conflict resolution
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain positive employer-employee relationships
- Provide support on union-related matters, including negotiations and dispute resolution
- Maintain accurate records of employee data, leave balances, and other HR information
- Perform other administrative tasks as required
Requirements
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources (HR) or a related field
- Proven experience in Industrial Relations (IR) and union exposure
- Strong Afrikaans language skills, including writing and verbal communication
- Ability to travel extensively within South Africa, including to branches in Bloemfontein, Kimberly, and Nelspruit
